Our Voices of Central Oregon Gathering celebrates the writers who call this place home. Through fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and hybrid work, local authors explore the landscapes, communities, and questions that define life in Central Oregon. This themed gathering highlights the region’s diverse perspectives and invites readers to connect more deeply with the stories emerging from their own backyard.

Sisters Festival of Books offers literary arts programming for all ages including writing and creativity workshops, author presentations and panels, storytelling events, authors dinners, author visits to schools and more! With programs offered throughout the year, we are committed to providing opportunities for enrichment through books, stories and writing for the Central Oregon community.

Our Mission
Our mission is to promote literacy, foster a love of reading and storytelling, and increase access to the literary arts across Central Oregon, with an emphasis on uplifting underrepresented voices. We aim to connect readers, writers, and storytellers from across the NW and beyond in a celebration of all things literature, serving as a hub for cultural enrichment and engagement.
Financial Accessibility Statement
Sisters Festival of Books charges admission for festival tickets for the sustainability of the organization and to raise funds for the local literacy initiatives we support. However, we believe that everyone should have access to the arts and community gatherings.
If cost is a barrier to your participation in the festival, please contact us HERE, with the event you would like to attend and we will make it happen, no questions asked!
