Sisters Festival of Books 2025 takes place September 12th-14th, and features a variety of authors in different presentation formats across multiple venues. We place an emphasis on curating a diverse representation of authors, genres, presses, and more. When we evaluate submissions, we consider many factors, including whether the title is a good fit for our programming that year. Not being selected is not a reflection of the quality of one’s work or the time and effort that went into its creation!

There is a single application and you will be able to indicate your interest level in different event options. We will follow up with you to confirm which part of the festival you would like to take part in (author dinner, story & poetry SLAM, author panel, ‘traditional’ author presentation, etc). A full schedule of festival offerings will be finalized in the spring of ‘25.

Things to note:

• All SFoB authors receive 1-2 nights of free lodging and a $0.50/mile travel reimbursement up to $300.

• We accept submissions on a rolling basis and space is limited! We encourage you to submit as early as possible.

• Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Please complete ALL of the items on the list to the right under “How to Submit”.

• The cutoff for SFOB ‘25 submissions is June 15th, 2025! All requested materials must be received by then.

• Books (hardcover or paper) must be published in the 12 months preceding the festival (September 2024 - September 2025).

• If you are selected, you will hear back from us no later than July 1st.

• We appreciate all submissions but are unable to reply to each individually.

If you are selected:

• We will reach out to the email provided in the submission form to confirm approval and discuss event details.

• Remember that you are able to take advantage of 1-2 nights of free lodging and a $0.50/mile travel reimbursement up to $300.

• We hope you will take full advantage of your Sisters getaway. Drop in to other festival events, network with other authors and publishers, and take advantage of the world class hiking trails and scenery that Sisters Country has to offer!

• If you are an author or publicist, please fill out the “author submission form” above. Submissions will not be considered complete until all materials are submitted.

  • Press kit materials include an author photo, cover photo, book description, author bio, and any other blurbs or review quotes

• By applying, you are acknowledging that your book(s) is accessible through a reputable distributor or that you will be able to provide copies to our festival’s bookseller at a 50/50 split.
